Big Island police investigate vehicle break-ins in Waikoloa

Big Island police are asking for the public’s help to gather more information about a rash of vehicle break-ins in Waikoloa Village.

Police said the suspect or suspects are apparently targeting vehicles in the late evening or early morning hours.

Police also reminded residents to lock their vehicles and take out any valuables when they leave.

Anyone with information about the break-ins is asked to call community police officer Paul Bugado at the South Kohala Station at (808) 887-3080 or Crime Stoppers at (808) 961-8300 in Hilo or (808) 329-8181 in Kona.
