1. ARMY RALLY

» Situation: Hawaii 21, Army 14, 11:00 remaining, third quarter, Army kicking off from own 30

» The Play: Brian Cobbs recovers a fumble by Mana Lolotai of a high, short kick at the Hawaii 24.

» Impact: Hawaii had dominated the early going and led 21-0. But turnovers and Army adjustments changed the game. Army scored 28 consecutive points to take the lead, including 21 in a

5-minute, 31-second span of the third quarter.

» Army coach Rich Ellerson: "I’m proud of how our team took some shots early and battled back."

2. BLOCKED

» Situation: Hawaii 28, Army 28, 7:45 remaining, fourth quarter, Army ball, fourth and 5 at Hawaii 19

» The Play: K Alex Carlton lines up for a 37-yard field-goal try, which is blocked by John Hardy-Tuliau.

» Impact: Army had marched 74 yards on 17 plays in a

9-minute, 34-second drive, but ended up with zero points. Hardy-Tuliau, a freshman, gets his first career block. In high school, he set a California state record with 26.

» Hardy-Tuliau: "I told the guys I was going to get it. I didn’t even feel (the block) because of the adrenaline."

3. RECOVERED

» Situation: Hawaii 28, Army 28, 0:24 remaining, fourth quarter, Army ball, third and 9 at Hawaii 28

» The Play: DE Kamala Umu hits QB Max Jenkins, jarring loose the ball. DB Mana Silva recovers, after a whistle. The officials initially rule Jenkins was already down before fumbling, but after a review, Hawaii gets possession.

» Impact: Army was driving for a possible game-winning score. With the turnover, Hawaii becomes the team with a chance to win in regulation.

» Silva: "I just jumped on it. I held it like it was a newborn baby."

4. ROYCE ROLLS

» Situation: Hawaii 28, Army 28, 0:20 remaining, fourth quarter, Hawaii ball, first and 10 at Hawaii 27

» The Play: QB Bryant Moniz completes a short pass to WR Royce Pollard, who goes out of bounds after a 13-yard gain. He is hit late by LB Steve Erzinger for a personal foul.

» Impact: The penalty turns the play into a 28-yard gain to the Army 45. Moniz immediately finds Pollard again wide open on a timing route behind the Army defense for a 31-yard gain, giving Hawaii a chance for a game-winning field goal.

» Pollard: "I knew I had to get out of bounds. I didn’t see anybody there, so I took a few steps up. When I stepped out of bounds, that’s when (Erzinger) hit me. I suckered him a

little bit. Got a little

personal

foul called."

5. UP AND GOOD

» Situation: Hawaii 28, Army 28, 0:07 remaining, fourth quarter, Hawaii ball, second and 10 at Army 14

» The Play: K Scott Enos makes a 31-yard field goal. The kick hooks, but stays within the left post by about 5 feet.

» Impact: Hawaii regains the lead, and only has to keep Army from scoring on the ensuing kickoff to win the game. Enos kicks short purposely 39 yards, and after Army tries to pitch the ball around, Hawaii recovers a fumble and the game ends.

» Enos: "Right when I hit it I knew it was going through."
