Police arrested a woman and a man yesterday in connection with an armed robbery at a store in Kapolei.

Officers responded to a call about 7 p.m. Wednesday and found security officers had stopped a 34-year-old woman after seeing her shoplift.

While security struggled with the woman outside, a 34-year-old man drove up and pointed a gun at the security officers, police said. The man and woman drove away, but the security officers got the license plate number.

About 2 p.m., officers arrested both suspects, who are homeless, at Oneula Beach Park on suspicion of first-degree robbery.
