No. 6 Hawaii sweeps BYU for second night in row

Brittany Hewitt put down 13 kills and Kanani Danielson added 11 as No. 6 Hawaii swept Brigham Young 25-23, 25-13, 25-16 tonight in a nonconference volleyball match at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Chanteal Satele added 10 kills and 14 digs for the Rainbow Wahine (10-1). Emily Maeda added a career-high four aces, all coming in Set 3.

Highlighting the 90-minute victory was Danielson reaching the 1,000-kill career mark, her kill tying it at 23-23 in Set 1.

Jennifer Hamson led the Cougars (3-9) with eight kills.
