Fujikawa fires first-round 66

Tadd Fujikawa fired a 6-under-par 66 in the first round of the eGolf Professional Tour’s CFAC Classic yesterday at Cabarrus Country Club in Concord, N.C.

Fujikawa, 19, is tied for third. He is two strokes off the lead shared by Drew Weaver and Ben Duncan. Duncan, a former Clemson All-American, had a hole-in-one. Weaver was the 2007 British Amateur champion.

Fujikawa had four birdies and an eagle in his round.

The Moanalua High School graduate won the eGolf Tour Championship this year. He is fourth on the money list with just less than $66,000.

 

WAC tournament tickets on sale

Ticket packages are on sale for this year’s WAC volleyball tournament, Nov. 22-24 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.

The package costs $45 and is good for all five matches.

Packages can be purchased at the ticket offices of each WAC member and the Orleans Arena box office.

Single-session tickets are on sale only at the tournament, at $20 for adults and $10 for students. There are two matches each of the first two nights, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Pacific time. The Nov. 24 championship is at 6:30 p.m. (4:30 p.m. Hawaii time) and will be shown live on ESPNU.

The top six teams in the regular season qualify, with the top two receiving byes the first night.
