The Ranch House in Kapahulu, the new incarnation of the longtime Aina Haina eatery, has closed its doors, at least temporarily.

A message left on the restaurant’s answering machine says it will reopen with a new menu, a new chef and new management. No timeline was given and owners could not be contacted today for comment.

The venue opened at its new site, 449 Kapahulu Ave., on Jan. 27 and featured local home-cooked comfort food.

The restaurant was just featured in the Star-Advertiser’s ‘Ilima Awards as winner of Diamond Head Theatre’s Producers Award.
