Kauai officials are urging the public to use caution after a 20-acre brush fire today.
Firefighters responded to the blaze about 1:20 p.m. near Ala Kinoiki and Weliweli Road in Koloa.
Three private companies also helped battle the blaze.
Firefighters extinguished the fire at 6:05 p.m. No one was injured.
Kauai fire officials provided these fire prevention tips:
Don’t throw lit cigarettes out of car windows.
Don’t park on dry grass.
Trim the trees, bushes and grass on your property on a regular basis.
