Pepper in ‘Stitches’
Pepper, the Big Island band known for its blend of reggae, punk and pop/rock, will play concerts in Honolulu (Dec. 10), Maui (Dec. 17) and Kona (Dec. 18) to promote its new album, "Stitches." Pepper has developed a nationwide following with such hits as "Ashes," "Give It Up" and "Use Me." The three-island tour was announced yesterday by promoter BAMP Project and sponsor Volcom Stone. Q-pot seeks costumed ghoulies
The Japan-based jewelry and novelty store Q-pot at Ala Moana Center has launched its ghostly Halloween Collection, and to mark the occasion will host a photo contest from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 31.
Advance entry tickets will be distributed at the store to the first 100 applicants. Return in costume during event hours on Oct. 31 to be photographed with one of the store’s Halloween props for judging.
Two winners will be announced in each of the two age categories: adult (16 and older) and kids (15 and younger). Those younger than 16 will need permission from a parent or guardian to participate.
Winners will receive merchandise prizes.
