Pedestrian killed in front of Makaha condominium

A woman who appeared to be in her 60s died after being hit by a vehicle in front of the Makaha Surfside condominium complex this morning.

The woman, a pedestrian, was treated by paramedics at the scene on Farrington Highway at 10:53 a.m. before being taken in critical condition to an Oahu hospital where she was pronounced dead, said Bryan Cheplic, spokesman for the city Department of Emergency Services.

No other information was immediately available.
