Haleiwa triathlon Sunday

Limited spots are available for Sunday’s Bikefactory Haleiwa Triathlon — a 400-yard swim, a 12-mile bike and 3.1-mile run — which begins at Haleiwa Beach Park.

Awards will be given to the top male and female finishers in elite, age-group and military divisions as well as relay teams. Entry fee is $90 for individuals and $125 for teams through race day.

Check-in and late registration Sunday is from 4:30 to 5:45 a.m. The race starts at 6 a.m. Late registration and packet pick-up today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bikefactory Waipio (678-1800), from 4 to 6 p.m. tomorrow at Haleiwa Beach Park.

Food drive paddling race tomorrow

The Paddling Athletes Association is sponsoring tomorrow’s Thanksgiving Food Drive Race from the Hawaii Kai Boat Ramp to Kaimana Beach.

Entry fees are $30 for adults, $20 for juniors and $10 for new female paddlers, plus at least one canned good donation. Check-in and late registration is from 7:30 to 9 a.m. with the race scheduled to start at 9:30 a.m.
