Man charged with sexually assaulting Makaha woman while she slept

A 30-year-old Waianae man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 21-year-old woman as she slept in Makaha.  

Baermel Balos, of Manuku Street, remained in police custody this morning unable to post $50,000 bail. He was charged with first-degree sexual assault.  

Police said the woman awoke at 2:30 a.m. Monday to find Balos sexually assaulting her. He was arrested at the scene.
