Rainbow Wahine rout North Carolina Central 82-47
Freshman forward Kamilah Jackson posted her first career double-double as the Hawaii women’s basketball team dominated North Carolina Central 82-47 tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.
UH (3-1) advanced to face Mississippi (4-1) in the semifinals of the Waikiki Beach Marriott Rainbow Wahine Showdown today at 7 p.m.
A crowd of 834 saw the Wahine overpower the undersized Lady Eagles in the paint. UH pulled down 45 rebounds to NCCU’s 27 and led comfortably by the 10-minute mark in the first half.
Jackson had career highs of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Senior point guard Keisha Kanekoa added 18 points and senior forward Allie Patterson 14.
