The Hawaii women’s volleyball team landed three players on the AVCA’s All-West Region first team announced today. 

Senior setter Dani Mafua, junior hitter Kanani Danielson and sophomore middle Brittany Hewitt were named to the 14-member first team.

It was the third time Mafua had been selected, the second for Danielson and the first for Hewitt. Danielson, the region’s freshman of the year in 2008, was a first-team All-American selection last year.

The three now are eligible for All-America honors which will be announced next week.
