The Creatures of the Abyss exhibit at Bishop Museum ends its three-and-a-half month run Jan. 9. Discover the mysterious and unique deep-sea creatures, check out the 26-foot-long life-sized model of a colossal squid, and step into the Bioluminescence Theater. Camp aimed at military families

Since deployment can be stressful for family members left behind, Hawaii Operation: Military Kids and Camp Erdman will host a family camp from Feb. 4 to 6.

The camp is open to military families of all service branches whose parent or spouse will be deployed through the end of February. A parent or legal guardian must attend camp with their children. The camp costs $20 per person.

Camp activities include swimming, hiking, archery, crafts, wall climbing, a rope course and campfires.
