Hawaii preparing for year’s first siren test
State Civil Defense is preparing the new year’s first statewide test of Hawaii’s outdoor siren warning system.
Sirens around the state are due to blast for 45 seconds at 11:45 a.m. on Monday
Television and radio stations are due to participate in a test of the Emergency Alert System by broadcasting emergency information and instructions.
State civil defense says it tests its civil defense sirens and the Emergency Alert System simultaneously, normally on the first working day of the month.
