Kalihi man charged in convenience store robbery
Prosecutors charged an 18-year-old Kalihi man on Dec. 29 with the armed robbery of a Kalakaua Avenue convenience store on Christmas Day.
Patrick M. Martin, 18, was charged with first-degree robbery, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and two drug offenses.
Police said three masked robbers entered Hanarum Market, a convenience store at 1602 Kalakaua Ave., brandishing a handgun or a BB gun.
The men took cash and an employee’s purse and fled in a stolen car.
