Elderly man’s death after Mililani car crash caused by medical condition
The death of a 79-year-old man in Wednesday’s single-car crash was caused by a health condition unrelated to the crash, the Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office said.
George Fujimoto, 79, of Mililani, died after a swelling of the large blood vessel in his abdomen ruptured, the Medical Examiner’s Office said.
The Mililani crash happened at 7:02 a.m. Wednesday at Meheula Parkway and Kuahelani Avenue, police said.
Fujimoto’s Toyota Corolla hit a traffic light, continued through the intersection, and came to rest against another traffic light post, police said. He died at the hospital.
