Book sale to benefit libraries

More than 40,000 records, thousands of books, CDs, DVDs and videos will be sold at the Friends of the Library’s "Friends, Books, Music — The Sale!" Among the finds will be a collection of books with Doris Duke’s personal name plate, "The Renaissance of Honolulu" by Jeremy Harris and vintage R. Crumb comic books. The sale takes place at Harbor Warehouse, located on the Ewa end the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine (next to ReUse Hawaii on Forrest Avenue) today, tomorrow and Monday from 9 am. to 5 p.m.; and Jan. 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds benefit Hawaii’s 51 public libraries.
