Hawaii women’s basketball team stays winless in WAC
The Hawaii women’s basketball team fell to San Jose State 53-43 and remained winless in Western Athletic Conference play tonight at The Event Center in San Jose, Calif.
Last-place UH (6-12, 0-5 WAC) dropped its 15th straight WAC road game. SJSU was winless at the start of the week but won its second straight game, improving to 2-3 in the WAC and 2-16 overall.
The Wahine scored just 11 points in a miserable first half and were unable to make up a seven-point deficit at the break.
Junior forward Breanna Arbuckle and freshman wing Shawna Kuehu led UH with 11 points apiece, while freshman forward had nine points and 13 rebounds.
