Would-be robber flees Sand Island store without cash
A man brandishing a silver handgun tried to hold up a convenience store this morning on Sand Island Access Road, but fled empty handed.
Police said the robber was wearing a blue hoodie and long, tan pants, when he robbed the Sand Isle Mart at 24 Sand Island Road at about 9:40 this morning.
According to police, the man pointed a silver handgun and demanded money. But he stickup man fled on foot toward Nimitz Highway without getting any cash.
