Fight over traffic ticket leads to arrest
A 36-year-old Kaneohe man is behind bars after getting into a fight with his wife over a traffic ticket he received.
The man got upset and began punching walls. When the wife, 56, called 911 around 12:21 p.m. Wednesday, he grabbed her and carried her into the bedroom where he held her, police said.
After police arrived, he told his wife to be quiet and put a towel over her mouth because he did not want to be arrested on an outstanding warrant.
He let her go after about 10 minutes and was arrested by police. She had minor injuries.
The man was being held on suspicion of kidnapping, abuse of a household member, and contempt of court.
