The 28-year-old man allegedly threatened his 27-year-old wife with the knife and then threatened the 41-year-old pastor with the knife when he intervened, police said.

Police arrested the suspect and recovered the knife. No one was injured.

Two teenagers, one of them an adult, were arrested after they allegedly tried to rob another teenager Wednesday afternoon at Waipahu District Park.

The victim was approached by two young males who demanded his belongings, police said. When the juvenile victim refused, one male blocked his path while the other forcibly took his belongings, police said.

Both assailants fled. Police arrested two suspects, including a 19-year-old Waipahu man. He was being held pending a second-degree robbery charge. There is no other information on the other suspect, a juvenile.

Rider cited in bus dispute

Police arrested and cited a 48-year-old man who argued with a bus driver over an expired bus pass in Chinatown Thursday night.

Police said the man became irate and began yelling and poking the bus driver when the 45-year-old driver refused to accept the bus pass.

The driver called bus dispatch. Police arrested the rider at Pali Highway and Beretania Street at about 11:30 p.m.

He was released on $100 bail after being cited for harassment.
