Police arrested a 37-year-old Moanalua Valley man who allegedly was sitting inside a car today that didn’t belong to him.

The officer was patrolling a high-crime area in Waipio at 12:55 a.m. and recognized the man as someone with whom he had prior contacts, police said.

The officer found that the man did not have permission to be inside the vehicle. 

The officer arrested him on suspicion of first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, a Class C felony, near Waipio Uka Street and Welina Loop.
