A 13-year-old boy got angry at school yesterday and kicked and headbutted his teacher, police said.
The boy wanted to leave his classroom and talk with his counselor about 11:30 a.m. at the downtown school, but his teacher said the counselor was busy with another student, police said.
The boy left the class without permission and ran to the counselor’s office, then began punching and kicking the office door, police said.
The teacher, a 30-year-old man, restrained the student, who kicked and head butted him, police said.
Officers arrested the boy at the school on suspicion of second-degree assault. He was released pending investigation.
Police did not identify the school involved.
