Gangster’s daughter sues Las Vegas mob attraction

LAS VEGAS >> The daughter of famed gangster Sam Giancana has sued the Las Vegas Mob Experience, saying the Las Vegas Strip attraction opening next week owes her money.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper reported Wednesday that Antoinette Giancana McDonnell is suing the attraction at the Tropicana Las Vegas hotel-casino for at least $70,000 in damages.

The lawsuit says the attraction’s managing partner Jay Bloom agreed to pay McDonnell nearly $332,000 over five years, and buy $22,300 worth of furniture that belonged to her father.

Attraction spokesman Spence Johnston says the lawsuit won’t affect a planned opening for Tuesday.

Johnston says McDonnell violated the terms of her contract, so it was canceled.

Giancana was a gangster who became a witness for the FBI and was assassinated in his home in 1975.
