Fire causes $200,000 in damage to Kauai house
Fire caused an estimated $200,000 in damage to a house and its contents in Kalaheo Monday night, the Kauai Fire Department said.
The fire at the two-bedroom house was reported at 8:29 p.m. by a neighbor in the Silver Track housing complex adjacent to Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
No one was home at the time.
Fire crews from the Kalaheo and Hanapepe stations responded, along with Rescue 3.
No one was home at the time. The blaze was extinguished about 9:21 pm.
