HPU drops Chaminade in softball

Maile Kim went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs to lead Hawaii Pacific to a 6-4 softball victory over Chaminade yesterday at Central Oahu Regional Park.

The Sea Warriors improved to 9-2 and 1-0 in the Pacific West Conference.

Kyree Naiwi went 2-for-3 with three RBIs for the Silverswords (4-7, 0-1).

 

UHH splits with Grand Canyon

Christina Pedroza pitched a complete game to lead Hawaii-Hilo to a 7-3 victory over Grand Canyon in the first game of a softball doubleheader yesterday in Hilo.

Nicole Alconcel went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while Kasaundra Lopez went 2-for-2 and drove in two runs for the Vulcans.

Kirsten Linert of the Antelopes (7-6, 1-1 Pacific West) tossed a two-hitter in a 5-0 shutout of Hawaii-Hilo (3-4, 1-1) in the second game.

 

UCSB beats Hawaii in tennis

UC Santa Barbara defeated Hawaii 5-2 in men’s tennis yesterday in Santa Barbara.

Dennis Lajola won at No. 1 singles and with Jon Brooklyn in No. 3 doubles for UH.
