Office of Information Practices Acting Director Cathy Takase will remain on the job for another two weeks while Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s transition team interviews candidates for a permanent director, according to administrative spokeswoman Donalyn Dela Cruz.

Takase’s last day was supposed to be Friday, but the person initially slated for the job changed his mind, Dela Cruz said earlier.

Takase has been acting director since 2009 of the office that administers the state opens records law.
