    A MUSICAL EVENING FOR MANOA | 5. Laurence Paxton, chairman of the University of Hawaii-Manoa Music Department, center, was the emcee of "A Musical Evening," a fundraiser for the Music Department, hosted by Carolyn Berry, front right, March 16 at her East Honolulu residence. The Music Department faculty provided a diverse program of entertainment -- Chinese classical, European classical, Broadway and opera -- that Paxton capped with "Till I Hear You Sing" from the upcoming Andrew Lloyd Webber musical "Love Never Dies."     4. Miss Fortune entertained the crowd with her elaborate "Carnal Carnival" clown number. One dancer confided that due to Liquor Commission restrictions they had to keep the dance numbers on the "PG" side for the evening -- dancers, who might otherwise have ended their numbers wearing pasties, kept their bras on. Even so, it was a great night at Apartment3.

    CBC PLAYS APT3 | 2. Apartment3 co-owner Flash Hansen enjoyed a moment with Cherry Blossom Cabaret members Miss Catwings, left, and Lola Love when the dance group presented "MenageA3: Cirque du Sexy" as late-night floor show entertainment March 19 at Apartment3. Several CBC dancers previewed carnival-themed numbers they'll be doing in the group's big "Varietease: Carnal Carnival Cirque De Soul" show at the ARTS at Marks Garage in April.
