Police looking for suspect in Mililani bank robbery

  • Honolulu police released a surveillance photo of a suspect wearing a safety vest who robbed the American Savings Bank in Mililani at about 9 a.m. today.

Honolulu police are asking for the public’s help locating a man wearing a yellow-and-orange safety vest who robbed the Mililani Town Center branch of American Savings Bank at 95-1248 Meheula Parkway this morning.

Police said the man approached the teller and demanded money at 9:06 a.m., then fled on foot in an unknown direction. He is described as in his 30s; between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 6 inches tall; weighing about 180 to 200 pounds; and he has a wide nose.

Besides the safety vest, he was wearing a white hat, blue long-sleeved T-shirt, blue denim jeans and slippers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.
