Warriors sweep Matadors in volleyball
Jonas Umlauft put down 21 kills and Joshua Walker added 20 to lead No. 9 Hawaii to a 25-19, 25-23, 25-19 sweep of Cal State Northridge in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation men’s volleyball match at the Stan Sheriff Center tonight.
Steven Hunt added 12 kills for the Warriors (14-11, 12-8), who took over sole possession of fourth place in the MPSF with the 93-minute victory. Hawaii hit a season-high .543.
Tanner Nua and Matt Stork each had 12 kills for the Matadors (6-20, 4-15).
Hawaii finishes out the regular season next week when hosting top-ranked USC Friday and Saturday.
