Bicyclist killed in crash identified as Moiliili man

The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office identified the bicyclist who was fatally injured April 4 in Moiliili as Kiyoshi Miyasato, 86.

The Moiliili man died Saturday at the Queen’s Medical Center.

Miyasato was riding a white Huffy bicycle on the sidewalk on University Avenue when he was his by a Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by a 61-year-old man, police said.

The truck had pulled out of University Square at 2615 S. King St. to head mauka on University Avenue when it struck the bicyclist, police said.
