>> Hawaii U.S. Reps. Mazie Hirono and Colleen Hana­busa voted last week against HR 910, which denies the Environmental Protection Agency the power to regulate greenhouse-gas emissions linked to climate change and challenges the science upon which those regulations are based. Hirono and Hana­busa voted for an amendment to HR 910, which states Congress accepts EPA’s “scientific findings … that climate-change is occurring, is caused largely by human activities, and poses significant risks for public health and welfare.” A “How Your Lawmakers Voted” chart on B7 Sunday incorrectly listed their votes on those measures.

>> Kenneth Clem, the 65-year-old cruise ship passenger who died Wednesday while snorkeling off Kaha­luu Beach Park in Kona, was from Humble, Texas, not Humbolt as was reported in a Page B2 “Neighbor Islands” brief yesterday.
