Journalists to discuss relationship between U.S. and Pakistan

Pakistani and American journalists are to discuss the complex relationship between Pakistan and the United States at a Honolulu luncheon.

The forum is to be held Thursday at the East-West Center’s Hawaii Imin International Conference Center.

Panelists will include various print, broadcast and online journalists from throughout Pakistan including Peshawar, Karachi and Islamabad, along with American journalists from outlets including the New York Times, Newsweek and the Sacramento Bee.

The discussion will focus on the economic and political factors that influence United States engagement in Pakistan and public reaction to American policy there.
