UH-San Jose State football game moved to Friday, Oct. 14

The University of Hawaii’s football game at San Jose State has been moved to Oct. 14, a Friday night, to accommodate ESPN, UH and the Western Athletic Conference announced today.

The game was originally scheduled for Oct. 15, a Saturday.

Kickoff will be 3 p.m. Hawaii time. It will be the Spartans’ homecoming.

UH assistant coach Dick Tomey was the Spartans’ head coach last time Hawaii played in San Jose in 2009.

It will be the 11th consecutive season the Warriors will appear on ESPN, the school said.

UH will have an open date prior to the San Jose State game, not having played since an Oct 1 appearance at Louisiana Tech.
