Honolulu police arrested a 22-year-old Waikiki man who allegedly tried to sell stolen windsurfing gear to a Kailua shop yesterday.

Police said the suspect went to Kailua Sailboards and Kayaks at about 4:30 p.m. yesterday and offered to sell the gear to the owner, who became suspicious because the items looked like gear stolen from a friend.

The owner called police, who arrested the man after the victim, a 52-year-old man, identified the items.

The suspect was being held pending investigation.
