The National Weather Service has issued a flood advisory for Oahu until 5 p.m. today after rain fell at more than 2 inches per hour at Waihee pump.

The weather service specifically identified Punaluu, Turtle Bay, Waiahole, Whitmore Village, Waikane, Wahiawa, Mililani Town, Laie, Marine Corps Base Kaneohe, Kahuku, Kahaluu, Kaaawa, Hauula and Haleiwa in the flood advisory.

The advisory means that streams, drainage ditches and low-lying areas are prone to flooding and hazardous driving conditions could exist, including reduced visibility and poor braking.
