The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Hawaii Host Committee is looking for full-service catering companies and a uniform manufacturer.
The committee said Thursday it is seeking qualified catering production companies to receive calls for bids around the November event as needed.
Qualifications include obtaining any required licenses and permits and providing staffing for up to 1,000 guests.
The uniform manufacturer is to design and produce aloha attire uniforms worn by those volunteering at the international meeting.
The uniform must incorporate a design pattern that is unique to Hawaii while looking unified.
Committee chair Peter Ho says catering and uniforms are critical areas to help shape the image of the state to attendees.
Interested companies should send contact information to rfp(at)apec2011hawaii.com.
The deadline for submissions is May 31.
