Police are looking for a man in his 20s who assaulted a Waikiki street musician with his instrument before taking his money.
The robbery happened about 11:30 Thursday night as the 20-year-old man was playing his guitar.
Police said the attacker walked up to the musician and demanded money. He punched the victim, grabbed his guitar, and hit him with the instrument. Then he reached into the victim’s pocket and took cash before leaving the man and his guitar behind.
Police opened a first-degree robbery case.
