This would have come in handy when the lights went out Monday.

Energizer’s Carabiner LED Area Light was released last month, perfect for camping, night hiking and, well, power outages. It has a carabiner clip for hands-free use with three light modes: two 360-degree area light modes and directional light for use as a handheld flashlight.

In flashlight mode, it has a beam distance of nearly 50 feet. Battery-powered (four AAA), it has a 5-hour run time in the high area light mode.
