Maiki Viela of Lahainaluna has been named to the Parade magazine All-America High School girls basketball team, it was announced today.
Viela, a 5-foot, 6-inch guard who will attend Gonzaga, is one of 40 players from 30 states honored.
Viela rebounded from an early season back injury who average 18.1 points a game and take the Lunas to the Maui Interscholastic League championship and the state semifinals.
