Kauai firefighters extinguish garage fire in Kapahi

Firefighters responded to a fire at a home in Kapahi, Kauai, Friday morning.

About 3:30 a.m., 13 firefighters responded to the fully engulfed blaze in the garage of a home located on Papau Street.

The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes. 

No injuries were reported, said Kauai County Fire Chief Robert Westerman in a news release.

The cause and damage estimate have yet to be determined.
