400 expected to march at Honolulu gay pride parade
A pride parade celebrating Hawaii’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community is expected to take place this morning rain or shine.
Organizers say the today’s parade is set to begin at 10 a.m. in Ala Moana, continue into Waikiki and end at Kapiolani Park.
The event is expected to include 400 marchers, floats and bands.
Honolulu Pride says Gov. Neil Abercrombie plans to speak at the park.
The group says Hawaii’s gay and lesbian community has a lot to celebrate this year.
