A memorial fund has been established to help to pay for funeral expenses for the Palolo mother of 10 who was fatally shot in an apparent random shooting in Kaimuki Friday.

The family of the late Tammy Nguyen is asking for help through donations to the memorial fund, a family spokesman said.

Donations may be made to the "Tammy Nguyen Memorial Fund" at any Bank of Hawaii branch; or by mail to the Bank of Hawaii, Tammy Nguyen Memorial Fund, 2233 Ahe Street 32-B, Honolulu 96816. 

The family also said today that funeral services will be private.
