Windward water flows again after 16-inch main repaired
Honolulu Board of Water Supply crews have repaired a broken 16-inch transmission main off of Kamehameha Highway in Heeia, restoring service to all customers including Windward Community College, which reopened today.
Customers can return to normal water usage, officials said late this morning.
Even though the 16-inch main had been repaired, they had asked residents from Kahaluu to Maunawili to continue to conserve water to allow the system to recharge through the morning.
The college closed yesterday because the campus had no water service.
