Pedestrian hopitalized with critical injuries following Kamehameha Highway crash
An 18-year-old woman was in critical condition after she was hit by a car while crossing the street near Coral Kingdom near Kahana State Park Saturday night, police said.
Police said the woman was crossing the highway in a cross walk at about 9:52 p.m. when a north-bound 2001 Honda driven by a 69-year-old man hit her.
Police said speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.
Investigators closed Kamehameha Highway at about 11 p.m. while they investigated the crash.
