Hawaiian Electric Co. workers have cleared a utility pole that shut down Auwaiolimu Street between Whiting and Hookui streets in the Punchbowl section of Honolulu.

HECO spokesman Darren Pai said workers restored power to about 15 customers.

Additional repairs are continuing but the road is open, Pai said.

The pole was downed by a traffic collision before 2:30 a.m. and live wires were on the ground, according to an advisory issued by the Honolulu Police Department.
