Series made its mark on a whole generation
“These are memories from a muggle mum: The picture below is from the premiere showing of the first Harry Potter movie in 2001. Pictured are siblings Tony, Donovan and Bridget Barros.
But even before the movie, Bridget had read and re-read the first books. She got others excited about reading them too, even her brothers; she is of the ‘Potter Generation.’ Bridget is currently with 39 other ‘Potterites’ in the United Kingdom on a Harry Potter tour to watch the final movie in Scotland.
The series has taught a whole generation about friendship, conflict resolution, fulfilling dreams, working hard and the strength of family. I am grateful for what the series has given to a whole generation of young adults.”
