Woman reports severed hand on Goat Island
Honolulu police and law enforcement officials with the state Department of Land and Natural Resources are investigating the report of a severed human hand found at Moku Auia Seabird Sanctuary, also known as Goat Island, an islet off of Malaekahana.
A woman reported that she saw the hand on the island over the weekend, and again today, said Deborah Ward, DLNR spokeswoman.
Officers with DLNR’s Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement have asked HPD homicide detectives for assistance with the case, Ward said.
