Police were looking for a man who pushed a woman into her car and tried to rob her Wednesday at Pearlridge Center.
The man pushed her from behind into the vehicle as she was getting in about 11 a.m. and got into the driver’s seat, police said.
He pulled out a 12-inch knife and demanded money, then told the woman to go to an ATM. The woman told the man that he has to get out so she can go to the ATM and drove off when the man got out, police said.
She went home and reported the incident. Police described the assailant as a man in his 30s, about 6-feet 2-inches tall, and 175 pounds with a full beard.
Police opened a robbery and kidnapping case.
